Richard Flattinger passed away in the early hours of Dec. 25, 2014, surrounded by his wife and family.
Richard was born Jan. 13, 1944, in Yugoslavia and came to the U.S. in 1952, at the age of eight and has been settled in Yucaipa ever since.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda Flattinger; sons Rick, John and Randy; grandchildren Brian, Amber, Danielle, Gabrielle; great-grandchildren Jayleigh, Addilynn and Bailey; sisters Kathrine and Erika and many nieces and nephews from Germany and the local area.
Richard was predeceased by his parents John and Katharina; brothers Frank and Adam; sisters Magdelena, Anna, Maria and Klara.
He met his future wife Linda in the eighth grade and the two sustained a loving and loyal marriage.
In Richard’s own words he left behind ...” All in all, it’s been a good life and I have no regrets.”
Richard will forever be loved, missed and cherished.
Memorial services will be held Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Calimesa Country Club.
