Notes for Theresa Ann White
She was born August 12, 1935 in Ypsilanti, the daughter of Theodore and Agnes (Johnson) White.
Theresa attended Lincoln Schools until her junior year, when she joined the Sisters of St. Joseph in Garfield, OH. She finished her high school education and began to teach in Cleveland, OH. She received her master's degree from Eastern Michigan University.
After her retirement from the Sisters of St. Joseph she continued to teach at schools in Ypsilanti, always teaching Special Education.
In 1980 she married Delbert McCrary. They spent time traveling to Alaska, Arizona and Alabama. He preceded her in death in 2003. During this time, Theresa continued to teach before finally settling in Gulf Shores, AL. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Gulf where she was in the choir and also played her clarinet in many concerts.
