bituary for Rosemary A. Hakkinen
Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home
Rosemary Ann Hakkinen, longtime resident of Warren, died peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on May 12, 2015. She was 90 years of age.
Rosemary was born on May 5, 1925 in Detroit, one of eighteen children to Leo and Agatha (Fetzer) Sutter. She was united to her beloved John Hakkinen in September of 1946 in Detroit. The couple lived in Detroit until making their home in Warren in 1951. The couple was blessed with five beautiful children who she loved and adored. Rosemary was a woman with many talents. Sewing, crocheting, embroidering and ceramics, where just some of her creative outlets. Rosemary was not only an inspiration but a role model to her children, grandchildren and to the many she has touched in her lifetime. Her labors of love also shined through by always being there for her family and the willingness to do anything for them. Rosemary was certainly the life of the party for she was up to anything and was full of life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and going up north to the cottages. Rosemary will always be known for her charisma, her laughter and love. The compassion and friendship she extended to others was a blessing to all. Rosemary will be deeply missed and will remain steadfast in our hearts forever.
Rosemary is the beloved wife of the late John; dearest mother of 5 children (names removed); cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren (names removed); and loving great grandmother of 13 great grandchildren (names removed).
