Kathryn L. Keck, age 90 of Pensacola passed away peacefully at Sacred Heart Hospital on Sunday April 22, 2012. Born to John and Trisa Lett on November 5, 1921, in Barrineau Park Florida,
Kathryn was a lifelong resident of Escambia County and was a graduate of Tate High School. She was a devoted wife and loving mother.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frank J. Keck, and is survived by their only son, Dennis F. Keck, also of Escambia County Florida. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Eve Wright of Charlottesville Va. and Julia Taranto of Pensacola Fl.
Kathryn worked for a number of years for Marston and Quinna Furniture of Pensacola and then became an excellent homemaker and mother. She especially loved cooking and baking. Kathryn and Frank were devoted members of Sacred Heart Cathedral Church and later of Saint Anne's Catholic Church. They both shared a strong faith in Christ and loved the Lord.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home, 1985 West Nine Mile Rd. Pensacola. from 5:00pm till 7:00pm. A praying of the Rosary will be held at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 5200 Saufley Field Road, Pensacola. Father John Licari, Captain Robert P. McClanahan USN, and Deacon Donald E. Krechely will be celebrating the funeral Mass at 10:00am Saturday, April 28, 2012. Internment will follow at Saint Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Cemetery, 3015 Saint Elizabeth Street Molino, Florida.
Pall bearers will be Art Sarasua, David Fitzpatrick Sr., John Wright, Ronnie Keck, Steve Webber, and William Mack Hendren,III.
